Chasing Tales is a mobile bookshop owned by Christine, named after her basset hound, Chase. I met Christine in April 2026 while attending a Book•cation retreat — owner Mallory introduced me to the group as the designer behind the retreat’s shirts, signs, coasters, and totes. Christine approached me afterward asking if I did logo work, and from that conversation, a new client relationship was born. She was preparing to open her mobile bookshop and needed a primary logo to launch with.
Christine came in knowing what she wanted: a circle logo featuring a basset hound and books, built around teal, black, and white. My job was to take that clear creative vision and execute it with polish. We worked through three rounds of revisions and landed on a final logo within one week.
A month later, Christine came back — this time to develop social media templates and add an accent color to round out her brand palette. For the templates, I built in Canva intentionally so Christine could edit and post on her own schedule without needing to come back to me for every update. It’s a practical handoff that keeps her brand consistent while giving her independence.
