A Case Study on Book•Cation
The Brief
Book•cation, a book reading retreat and social media company, came to me in the fall of 2024 with a general need rather than a specific problem, owner Mallory was just launching her company and needed shirt designs for her retreats and Etsy shop. It was a small, practical first ask that’s since grown into an ongoing creative partnership.
What I Made
What started as shirt design work has expanded into a full merchandise line as Book•cation has grown. My work spans:

Most of this work is built in Illustrator, with Canva brought in occasionally to assist — a practical mix that lets me move fast on smaller-format pieces while keeping the core brand assets clean and scalable.

A direct referral to Chasing Tales, a mobile bookshop: while attending one of Book•cation’s retreats in April 2025, Mallory gave a shoutout for my retreat design work. That introduction turned into a new client relationship with Christine, owner of new her new mobile bookshop, leading to me designing for Chasing Tales.
